That will get it installed. Now you'll need to do some additional configuration to run it.

The first problem that most people bump into with multiple homes is that you have multiple copies of your networking files in %ORACLE_HOME%\network\admin. Juggling these files seems to cause many a headache the first few times you try it. There have been multiple posts in this NG about that, so a search of Google groups is in order.

Clients probably won't have this problem, since they'll only need to make an additional entry in their local tnsnames.ora. Received on Thu Jan 16 2003 - 11:39:43 CST
