Hi Richard,

Howard has already reminded me of DBMS_ROWID, and I've even remembered for myself that I have actually used it in the past - god I hate my memory.

I can put up with the Bowie references, but surely you missed out one line :

SQL> insert into bowie_stuff values ('Laughing Gnome', 1973, 'He will never live it down !!');

Thanks for the DBMS_ROWID demo as well - I've filed it in the 'useful stuff I've stolen from thoise who know much more than me' folder that I keep. Much stuff from you, Howard, Jonathan etc in there.
