Maybe you had to work for Harvey Hirshkowitz in the San Diego office about 5 years ago. But then, DUL's location was pointed out to me by another consultant in the Boston office when I was back there on an assignment. But maybe I wasn't clear in my earlier post ... I didn't mean to say it was available to *every* consultant. I inherited an old, clunky laptop from a more senior consultant, who had just received a newer model. Perhaps he, rather than Oracle, had loaded it.

Maybe I should also admit that I don't know everything. After all, you should have seen some of the "consultants" who were in my office ... their expertise was somewhat on the slim side. Oracle consultants fill out a skills assessment. I remember saying I knew a little bit about SQL*Loader at the time. Harvey told me that was enough to go out to a customer site and pretend to be an expert. The customer knew more than I did ... not a pretty sight. But Harvey didn't like his consultants sitting on the bench ... it affected his bonus (mine too) ... so he sent us out on assignments even if we only knew a smidgen about the subject.
