I would have to guess that Thomas has been misunderstood because as you point out, it simply makes good common operational sense to house data separately when the business demands it.

btw, as near as I can tell, I do _not_ believe that Thomas has been doing any operational work in recent years. *smirk* I'll let Thomas answer that one ... <g>
