Basically this is a TCP/IP or Netbios problem, depending on which platform your OMS machine is ...

You should be able to ping either the OMS host or the client machine running IA
using either the aliases listed in /etc/hosts, then nslookup for Unix variants
or for W2K, make sure your machine's network identification is Fully Domain Qualified ,i.e. right-click the machine name=>properties=>network identification. It should say soemthing like host.microsoft.com.
