Yes. Many. For starters, it's easier to manage wild growth objects in LMT than in DMT. Particularly when you've got 15000 or so of the darn things to cope with...

Only if you absolutely need to save disk space would DMT possibly have an advantage. I used to be a bit wary of LMT myself (being a new technique). Some of the bugs in 8i were a bit nasty, but the patches are there. I'm told from 9i onwards it's all plain sailing. I'd still pass on 9iR1 and go direct to 9iR2 if given the choice. But for the time being it's 8iR3 for me. And LMT's, patches and all!
