All these middle-ware technologies seem to have been invented and picked up by people who do not understand the first thing about the ideas and capabilities of modern relation database management systems. However the main problem is that the management often do not care about finding optimal solutions to business and technical problems at all. They need to do something flashy, get their bonuses and move on. So the only way to "minimize the damage" is to play some part in this game. The original message sums up the technical side of things but the nature of the problem and solution to it are not technical. Received on Sat Dec 21 2002 - 09:54:49 CST
