If you define "schema" the same way Oracle does, NO (the schema IS a user).
If you define "schema" as the objects that define a particular subject
area of data, then yes (a qualified yes). For example, I can have
Customer X with tables A, B, and C; Customer Y with tables D, E, and F.
Customer X is in no way related to Customer Y. All tables (A,B,C,D,E,F)
are owned by a single Oracle userid (the schema owner). However, if this
is what you plan to do, you must be willing to resign (in which case,
your successor will inherit this). I'd advise against this approach. ;)
