This sort of thing highlights several useful lessons.
- All sorts of things are version specific You could also note that
although the 9i statspack scripts have the same names as the 8.1.7 ones they
are different scripts.
- Not everything you read in a book (or here on the newsgroups or at a
conference) will be valid (I'm assuming the book does actually tell you to
run the scripts as SYS and it isn't a misreading.)
