Quick solution:
(will at least work in any release)

• set up a new schema (maybe using new tablespaces)
• using insert select * from old_schema where 'copy' the data you want to retain
• export the old data
• truncate the old data or just drop the user
• recreate the old user
• copy the retained data back.

An alternative would be dumping the data to retain to csv files And, yes, you would need to generate scripts yourself for this, the option to use a where clause on export was introduced in 8.0
