AFAIK, no..You cannot put the SYSTEM tablespace offline that way.. But, you may be able to do it while 'offline' ; if the database is down, you could probably copy the data files that make up the system tablespace to a new location, edit the control files ( carefully) to indicate the new location and start it up..

just an thought, and it may not work so test first..
