Sybrand's point, while not dressed up in flowery language, is valid. This is Oracle, not a word processor, installation. To get help it is expected that you are willing to invest some level of effort on your own behalf before asking others to do things for you or to provide answers. The minimum level of expectation of some, and I would count Sybrand among them, is that you use a search engine (ie www.google.com), you try to look up the answer yourself (ie http://tahiti.oracle.com), and that you read the installation instructions on the CD.

And while, as you point out silence is an option, so is free speech. And we all exercise it here just as you have done. No one is in a privileged position.
