Hi Larry,

The site I'm currently working at is using this configuration quite successfully.

We suffered our first unscheduled downtime today since implementing 9.2 in Sept when the DB got upset when changing the Standby DB to be updated by LGWR in "Maximum Performance" mode.

A rather nasty new bug ensured that maximum performance somewhat resembled a stunned mullet as it caused the database to just freeze. Resetting the log dest and bouncing the database thankfully did the trick.

9.2 consumes a bit more resources but runs rather well none the less. Apart from the above, so far so good.

Cheers

Richard
