Hi Japdos

Assuming this is Oracle 8i it sounds like the glibc issue which arises from Oracle using an older version to compile against than is present by default in the newer Linux distros.

There are many postings on this on both this newsgroup and on the Linux forum on technet. Search for glibc-2.1.3-stubs.tar.gz should give you some pointers.
