I just printed off the upgrade instructions and used them as a jobsheet. There's about 20 steps to do, and I'm much happier when I can use a big marker pen to tick them off! If you're upgrading to 8.1.7.4.1, then you might as well do the quick one 8.1.7.4.1->8.1.7.4.5 as well.

I had no problems with either, except that the java stuff took quite a long time. BUT, this was on NT4 and 2000 server, not a _real_ os!
