Oracle 8i installation RAM problem

Hi,



After installing Oracle 8i on a Dell PE6400, win2k adv + sp2 os,
oracle only recognices 2gb ram and there is 8gb on the system. I am
not an oracle expert at all and would really appreciate any
troubleshooting pointers here ie logs to look for, configuration to
check, any hints at all.
