Hi,

I've been supporting Oracle on the client end for a while now (mainly installation, basic troubleshooting with connectivity, etc.) and I think it is a great area of IT to work in. I now want to train up and become a DBA myself.

Do you think as a newcomer I should do the 8i track or the 9i track? Would the 8i track be more useful in getting my first job as a DBA? Have many companies adopted 9i?

Thanks,
Dave. Received on Mon Nov 25 2002 - 17:02:18 CST
