GUI tools issue on RedHat 7.1

Hi all,

The installation of the RDBMS 8.1.7 on RedHat 7.1 was successful. The DB is up'n running.

If I start one of the GUI Tools (e.g. DBA Studio) for the first time it loads like a champ and I'm able to work with it. If I terminate the app - btw, it's been started from the console - it is not unloaded cleanly. So, the GUI disappears but it does not return to the console. Only after pressing Ctrl+C I'm able to enter new commands in the console.

Also, I'm unable to start ANY other Oracle GUI tool after such an incident. The only thing that helps is rebooting the system... :-((

Any ideas?
