My Ora is so slooooow...

Hi All,

I have a little problem with my Oracle 7.3.4 running on Win NT4 platform.

The client users are having intermittent slowness when retrieving data from oracle. It can go as slow as 3minutes. I have just double the size of all the 3 datafiles. That does not seem to improve data retrieval at all.

Whatelse can I do to speed-up ? Is there datafile alignment utility ? or recreate indexes ? Where to check to see where is the lock-up ?
