Hi,

I want to build a cheap Linux cluster (OCFS, Beowulf, Redhat 7.3) with RAC. Does anyone know what hardware I can use for the cheapest configuration? RAC has to have shared disc's, is this only possible with SCSI or also with IDE (if yes how?).
Is it with scsi enough to have two pc's with two scsi cards connected with each other (different id's of the cards) and in between a few scsi disks? Does OCFS or Beowulf prevent that both pc's use the same diskblocks?

Sounds very simple and fairly cheap or is this to simple?

Regards,
