and using AWE in W2K Data Centre you can indeed use more than 2Gb/3Gb for your SGA. There is a note about this in the 8.1.7 Enterprise Server release notes.

Never confuse NT and W2K with Windows Advanced Server and Data Centre versions. They are two completely different worlds.
