What do yo mean upgrade your OS? What will support more than 2gb per process besides UNIX? We have this same problem, we are mostly Unix but do have 2 Oracle databases on Windows 2000. We currently ar stuck at a 1.7gb SGA running 8.1.7.3 on Windows 2000 SP2.
