Before I get flamed for not reading the manuals - where can I find the 8.0.6 manuals? Tahiti starts with 8i.
That being said, here is my sqlnet.ora - pretty sparse, and I dont understand it (which is why I would like to read up on it!!)

Looking as far as I can, I see the authentication is commented out - what is the default?
