Me again ;)
I'm not sure if you've heard but they're trying to implement some rule
changes to make the contest somewhat more even. They include:
- If Australia bowls "too fast", it will be deemed a no-ball
- If Australia doesn't bowl "straight enough", it will be deemed a no-ball
- Australians that scores a century must automatically retire
- Australians that scores a century in both innings, must never be allowed
to play against England ever again
- Australian batsmen are to be blindfolded and spun around three times
before taking strike
- Australian batsmen must balance an egg in a spoon when running. If the egg
falls off, the batsman is dismissed
- When fielding, Australia is permitted the bowler, the wicket keeper and
one fieldsman on each side of the wicket only. The remaining players must
consume large amounts of grog and only watch from the dressing rooms
- Australians are only permitted to catch the ball with the previously
mentioned spoon
It's is hoped that these minor changes to the laws of the game along with
all English batsman must score at least 10 runs (this rule will be reviewed
and the minimum score increased if necessary) will ensure a closer and more
exciting summer of cricket.
Cheers ;)
Richard
