You defintetely need Rollback.
Temp is up to you. I always do it. It makes recovery easier.

As for index tablespaces, not backing them up is risky. Sure you can recreate any lost indexes
but what happens if you accidently had a table in one of the the tablespaces. It is smoke.
Plus the time and effort in bringing up the database without the datafiles, dropping the indexes, recreating the tablespaces , then creating the indexes is not , in
my opinion , worth it. Recovery situations are stressful enough without adding
a mess of extra complex steps.

Refer to the Backup Recoevry Guide. Also try searching Google Groups for more hits
on recovery situations.

Best of luck, and when you decide on a scenario make sure you throughy test it.
