Standby database question

I red the following: " Primary and Standby databases must reside on the same hardware the same hardware and base operating system "

Same hardware does that mean that the hardware configuration of the standby server must be 100% indentical to the production server? I mean is it possible that Oracle on the standby has a different disk configuration. Forample on the production server the tablespaces are seperated over the various disks but on the standby they are all on one disk. Received on Sun Nov 10 2002 - 09:10:24 CST
