There is also the possibility of installing Oracle's data files on raw (unformatted) NTFS partitions but I didn't try that yet. On the Administrator's Guide for NT is stated that you can achieve a 5-10% perfomance increase by doing so, may be someone could just give us an opinion from the field on this matter.
