Before you do that, however, you have to do a couple of preliminary steps:
  1. Obviously you have to get the dump file to the new computer:
  2. Use ftp in binary mode
  3. Use other copy method (hopefully not sneaker-net)
  4. Create the tablespaces in the new database (import does not create them for you).
  5. Now follow the above step (assuming it was a full export done from SYSTEM account).
