Hello folks,
a search on "resource manager" in this archived newsgroup ended up with a handful of messages, the most interested of them being actually unanswered questions.
This sounds somewhat surprising to me, as the most widely used tools or techniques normally bring about neverending discussions or interesting problems. In this case there were none.
So, my questions follow:
- Should I afford using this tool to balance resources among users or am I
wasting my time?
- Is there any danger in using the Resource Manager package on a production
system?

I ran a few tests, very elementary indeed, and I've got positive feeling with this tool, I mean, my objective was to verify that with a certain balancing scheme a users' group was consuming a given amount of CPU (higher or lower than a different group) and it worked fine, so I was about to deploy it, but, again, I am quite surprised to see almost no activity on this subject.

I am speaking 8.1.7, Windows 2000-wise.
Thanks,
