Hi!

I exported a user under Oracle8i (on a Win2K), and tried to import it under Oracle9i (on a Linux RedHat 7.2 server); although NLS_DATE_FORMAT (and all others NLS_ parameters!) has the same value in the 2 environments, I've a ORA-01843 error:

IMP-00017: following statement failed with ORACLE error 1843: " "" ALTER TABLE ""B_NOME"" MODIFY (""VER_EFFET_DEBUT"" DEFAULT '01/01/1995' )"""
IMP-00003: ORACLE error 1843 encountered ORA-01843: not a valid month

Then, I re-tried the same import on Oracle9i, after entering, on Linux:

" export NLS_DATE_FORMAT='DD/MM/RR' " And it worked!!! No error in the log file?!!

Any idea?
Thanks
