Well take your pick:

1. you have an old MDAC installed
2. your Windows national settings are different
3. your ODBC driver is old or incorrectly configured
4. a displacement in the time-space continuum
5. a minature black hole that sucks commas from SQL statements
6. all of the above
7. some of the above
8. none of the above

My take would be (a) as this type of problem and utter lack of information on the problem points to a typical Windows user which will get the above 'missing expression error' when using an old MDAC with a new ODBC driver using Net8 upwards.
