Re: update a vie

Please give us the SELECT statement for creating that view. If you find words like "SUM(colname) .... FROm ... GROUP BY " in the SELECT statement then
we found the problem: NOT ALL KINDS OR VIEWS ARE UPDATEBLE, e.g. views vontaining JOINs of Tables,
or views with GROUP BY!
or views containing SUM, MIN, MAX, COUNT

The Idea ist: only adressable simple rows of tables are updateble from a view.
