9.2 trying to connect 7.3

 I failed using sqlplus(ver 9.2) to connect a ver 7.3.4 db.
Err as follows:



Error accessing PRODUCT_USER_PROFILE


Warning:  Product user profile information not loaded!
You may need to run PUPBLD.SQL as SYSTEM
Segmentation Fault (core dumped)



I got same error after i run pupbld.sql



Any comments?
