Morning Niall,

you'll just hate the most recent Jules Holland advert for Bells then, he says "it's the blend of single malts in Bells that gives it its distinctice flavour ...." when in actual fact, Bells is a blend of single malt (or malts) and GRAIN whisky, not just single malts.

Just a tad misleading methinks !

And on the subject of Creme De Menthe (yuk - like drinking Polo mints) I'm pretty certain, but not 100%, that Howard was settings someone up for the old joke about the two Scotsmen in Rome ...

Two Scotsmen in Rome, went to a bar.
They didn't know what to drink, so they asked for a Pint of what the Pope drinks.
Two pints for CdM duly arrive.

Then another two.
Then another two.
Then another two.
Then another two.
Then another two.
Then another two.
Then another two.
Then another two.

.... (well, they are Scotsmen after all !)

Eventually they wake up, in the gutter, a blinding hangover, head wearing an internal balaclava and tongues seemingly too large for their mouths.
One says, "that's the stuff the Pope drinks eh ?" The other replies " Aye, nae wonder they carry him around in a chair"

Ta da !

Cheers,
Norman.

any way related to blends? Received on Fri Oct 04 2002 - 02:33:55 CDT
