Lets be very clear about this:
Neither entry you listed is a valid ORACLE_HOME; they are locations for your tnsnames.ora files used by SqlNet and should be
referenced ( in one place only for ease of admin) by using the TNS_ADMIN variable mentioned below set to the /network.admin
directory you want to use.
If on Windows( you do not say) there is a program ( under Oracle Installation Products usually) called the Oracle Home
selector - it allows changing the default home on the fly..But, except for major version differences ( 8.1 to 9.1 for
instance) Oracle can usually handle its tasks without changing the default home - the use of the TNS_ADMIN
'tells' all Oracle products where to find the connection info it needs..
In a Unix environment, you need to do an export ORACLE_HOME=/whatever/home/you/want ( In your example, either \ORADEV or \ORA92 ) hth,
