No, in best case it treats the symptom. Most likely it will make your application crash.

250 Mb is not much for a TEMP tablespace nowadays, it can easily be consumed by queries producing large sorts or the DBA i.e. rebuilding an index.

For now, just allocate more space for your TEMP tablespace instead.

Then, if it grows out of proportion ( say it reaches 10 Gb on a DB with 1 Gb of user data), go looking for huge sorts in the application.
