Hi Oraclion,

Just perform a basic upgrade which entails installing the software (in it's own home directory), shutting down and backing up the 8.0.5 database, changing the environment variables as appropriate for 8i (eg. ORACLE_HOME), changing the parameter file as appropriate for an 8i instance, startup the database in restrict mode, run the upgrade script (U0800050.sql), shutdown and backup again (optional I guess).

Other options are to use the GUI Migration Assistant (that basically performs the above) or possibly to database export/import.
