system file recovery

While installing webdb, we crashed Oracle 8i. Unfortunately the backup was uncomplete. Ws are trying to recover the data base. After strating up, we get a message saying : Oracle instance started, ..., database mounted but then:

ORA-01113: file 1 needs media recovery
ORA-01110: data file 1: "/oracle/oradata/coastal/system01.dbf

we do have a system01.dbf, it might be corrupted; its size is ~260 M (what it should be I guess).
