Hey Maria,

Get the doco out, read the section about simple replication, create a small test db and prove to the client and others that this is a quicker way to replicate (copy) the data from one database to another.

A nasty way to get the stats quickly is to copy them from the other database.
Or, depending on the version, you might be able to use outlines to force the optimiser to use the tested optimal path.

Why do people persist with using Oracle as a glorified filesystem?
