Hmm, at least with Oracle you can be somewhat sure that the code running on various platforms is nearly identical. With DB2, the code for OS/2 <> code for Windows <> code for AIX <> code for AS/400 <> code for VM <> code for MVS <> code for Z-series.

Same for JDBC drivers.

Just sometimes having a gazillion development labs is not very clever.
