Hi Srivenu,

yep i had an idea that is what stale oracle processes was but my attempted humour failed :)

The alternative to looking for these sessions actively, is to set sqlnet.expire_time =
in the sqlnet.ora file on both server and client.

That way Oracle itself will actively look for idle/stale connections.

Nice script too!
added "and username is not null" to the where clause to remove background processes if you like
