Apologies for abusing the group, but
I've been trying to search the internet
for the answer to the following question:

Which orchestra thrived from 1969 to the   mid-seventies making several recordings ?   The unique sound was made by performers   who had little or no knowledge of how to play   an instrument.

I haven't yet been able to select a set of key words that produces a list of fewer than 4,000 hits on any of the search engines I use.

So I thought that the world of Oracle specialists is bound to cover enough people with a wide range of interests such that someone will know the answer.

Thoughts to date - noting the careful wording of the question -

  1. the orchestra is a pack of trained seals
  2. the orchestra uses voices to mimic instruments
  3. the orchestra does not play instruments, it plays milk bottles, vacuum cleaners etc.
  4. the whole thing is done by computer

thanks.
