I have a newly installed 9.2.0 database on Solaris 8. When I start the listerner this is what I see:
Connecting to (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=IPC)(KEY=EXTPROC))) STATUS of the LISTENER
Alias LISTENER Version TNSLSNR for Solaris: Version 9.2.0.1.0 - Production Start Date 26-AUG-2002 18:19:44 Uptime 0 days 0 hr. 1 min. 46 sec Trace Level off Security OFF SNMP OFF
(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=db-0202.syrrx.com)(PORT=8080))(Pre sentation=HTTP)(Session=RAW))
(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=db-0202.syrrx.com)(PORT=2100))(Pre
sentation=FTP)(Session=RAW))
Services Summary...
Service "PLSExtProc" has 1 instance(s).
Instance "PLSExtProc", status UNKNOWN, has 1 handler(s) for this
service...
Service "ops" has 1 instance(s).
Instance "ops", status READY, has 1 handler(s) for this service...
Service "ops.syrrx.com" has 1 instance(s).
Instance "ops", status UNKNOWN, has 1 handler(s) for this service... Service "opsXDB" has 1 instance(s). Instance "ops", status READY, has 1 handler(s) for this service...The command completed successfully
Why am I getting UNKNOWN in the display? The exact same listener.ora file is one three other database that do not do this.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
CC
