this is oracle v 8.1.7.0 on a Sun server, I just increased the datafile, I beleive that what happen was that a user created a tablespace and not pointed to the a new datafile, then he came across the problem were the original datafile shows as @ 99% on a GUI interface of OEM, this is a production server, therefore I did not have much time, I just increased the size.
