Lots of ideas.

The first one being to tell us what hardware you have and what version and edition of Oracle.

We are reasonably good with Oracle. We are very bad mind readers.

But likely you have a Pentium 4 and neither read the installation instructions provided by Oracle or looked up the work-around for Pentium 4 machines. Now would be a good time to do so.
