Workspace manager and CDC are really 2 seperate things. CDC is more of a way to process deltas (kind of like snapshot logs). Workspace manager is a method of "versioning" a table such that user a and user b can make changes to the data in a given table, yet even after a commit user a and user b will not see the changes the other has made.

Thats simplifying both quite a bit, but thats the general idea. The documentation is pretty good on workspace manager in 9iR2. CDC is probably less well documented at this point. (is anyone using it ??)
