Hi,

I suggest you consult the 'Installation notes' on Oracle website plus the instructions on SuSE website: there are many reasons for your problems. ANd there are quite a few conditions to be complied with. Your question is too general : it can be the version of glibc libraries or , for example, the NUMLOCK key
being ON can cause you problems when installing 9i ...
