Just to say thank u to everybody who took time to answer. As expected, the requirement stated spreading to other apps also ie. the user should not be able to access from ......... :-(

Haven't yet tried the role method as would mean getting too involved in the app design where I have no say......will definately post to this group if I try that out ......
