He was treated harshly by one person, and personally I don't think posting one message to a group could be considered spam. Even cross-posting one message to multiple newsgroups is hardly a cause for a flame war.

Now, does anyone want their penis enlarged, some viagra, all their debts consolidated and to make money fast?
