Replace sqlnet.authentication_services = (NTS) with

sqlnet.authentication_services = (BEQ,NONE)

Hi,

This was due to 1 Bug in Oracle 8.1.6 which was fixed in 8.1.7. The only workaround is to change sqlnet.authentication_services as already told by me.
Try to change it in sqlnet.ora to
sqlnet.authentication_services = (BEQ,NONE) .

If it won't help then please log a TAR so that you can get a fix in 8.1.6.
